How to fix the Paypal Authentication error

If you're getting an authentication error message from PayPal, the added Client ID and/or API secret aren't correct. Sometimes letters or symbols are left out when copying/pasting them from PayPal into the fields in Affiliatly.

Please recheck the entered credentials for the following and try again:

  • the Client ID and API Secret are from the PayPal live version (not Sandbox)
  • no empty spaces before or after the Client ID and API Secret
  • the full Client ID and API Secret were copied and pasted
