How to set up tracking by SKU

⚠️ This tracking method is only available for Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Ecwid by Lightspeed.

SKU tracking is a versatile tracking method that allows you to set additional tracking rules for specific products:

• Allow or exclude particular products
• Commission modifier for individual products
• Royalties (fixed commissions)

💡 This tracking method is an addition to the other tracking methods and cannot be used on its own (except Royalties).

Go to Settings > Tracking > Tracking methods, check the box for SKU to activate this tracking method, and click the Save Changes button.

To set up the tracking method, click on the  Settings button of SKU. Here you find the following sections:

⚠️ If you can't find this tracking method on your Settings page it might be not (yet) available for your e-commerce platform. In this case, please contact our support.

Allow or Disable

Allow commission only for certain products or exclude specific products to generate commission. When a referral order comes in, the affiliate will only receive a commission for those products.

• Allowed SKU

Type in the SKUs, separated by a comma if you only want to allow commission for certain products

⚠️ Please be aware that when entering SKUs in this field, the commission for all remaining products will be disabled.

• Disabled SKU

Type in the SKUs, separated by a comma if you want to disable commission for certain products.

Click the button Save SKU settings to save your changes.

Custom Commissions

If you have, for example, products with lower margins, you can modify the commission for them. This commission can be also restricted to only certain affiliates.

⚠️ The commission will only apply, if the order was referred by the affiliate.

• Show the Custom commission table in the affiliate's Info page
  To display the set custom commissions to your affiliates, check the box Show the Custom commission table on the affiliate's Info page. This will show a chart in their panel. They will only see their own custom commission and the global ones. If there's no custom commission set, the chart won't be displayed. You can also add the variable @custom_commissions_table@ to the emails or the text or the affiliates' info page. This variable will be then replaced with the chart.

To set a custom commission, click the button Add New and fill out the following fields:

• SKU IDs
  Enter the product SKUs, separated by a comma.
• Commission
  Enter the custom commission, with decimals separated by a dot (.), and choose the type (percentage or flat rate).
• Affiliate IDs
  To apply the custom commission for certain affiliates only, enter their IDs, separated by a comma. Leave this field empty if you want to apply the custom commission for all affiliates.

Click the button Save SKU settings to save your changes. To remove a set custom commission, simply click on the X on the very right.

💡 On the Orders page, the ID will look like 2130:11:BLACK-M-AB759 (OrderID:AffiliateID:SKU).

Royalties

• Show the set Royalties in the affiliate's Info page
  Check this box to display the set royalties to your affiliates. This will show a chart in their panel. They will only see their own royalties and the global ones. If there's no royalty set, the chart won't be displayed. You can also add the variable @royalties_table@ to the emails or the text or the affiliates' info page. This variable will be then replaced with the chart.
• Remove affiliate's earnings
  Check this box if you want to remove the commission from the product price when the sale was referred. The royalty is then reduced by the affiliates' commission.
• Cancel the royalties for orders referred by the same affiliate
  Check this box to prevent that affiliates receive a royalty on top when the sale was already referred by them and connected to the same SKU.
